Superficial epigastric artery

  • The superficial epigastric artery (latin: arteria epigastrica superficialis) is a small branch of the femoral artery.

The superficial epigastric artery passes over the inguinal ligament, then it ascends to the umbilical region.

The superficial epigastric artery supplies blood to the superficial structures of the anterior abdominal wall.
