Inferior sagittal sinus

  • The inferior sagittal sinus (also inferior longitudinal sinus, Latin: sinus sagittalis inferior) is a dural venous sinus that lies in the falx cerebri.

It passes from the posterior half of the free margin of the falx cerebri to the straight sinus.

The inferior sagittal sinus receives venous blood from the falx cerebri, and, occasionally, from the medial surfaces of the cerebral hemispheres.
