Inferior epigastric veins

  • The inferior epigastric veins (latin: vena epigastrica inferior) are usually two (on both sides) tributaries of the external iliac vein.

Above the inguinal ligament the inferior epigastric veins drain into the external iliac vein.

The inferior epigastric veins are accompanied by the inferior epigastric artery.

The inferior epigastric veins collect blood from the inferior part of the anterior wall of the abdomen.
