Coracobrachialis

  • The coracobrachialis (also coracobrachialis muscle, latin: musculus coracobrachialis) is a small, flat muscle of the upper arm located in the anterior region of the arm.

    Origin

    The coracobrachialis originates from the coracoid process of the scapula.

    Insertion

    The coracobrachialis inserts onto the anteromedial surface of the humerus.

    Action

    The main functions of the coracobrachialis are flexion, adduction and internal rotation of the upper arm.

    Innervation

    The coracobrachialis is innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve.
